-eli manning had quite a few low snaps there in the 4th quarter, any one of those could have turned into a disaster.

I noticed and thought that same thing during the final drive!

You're the first I've seen mention it also....I kept thinking one of those is going to be a fumble.

One of the announcers mentioned one of them and there were a few, had to have been the stress. Yet eli manning apparently was as calm and cool as could be, that last td pass showed that. In fact on the footage of the giants practicing that day, they showed that same lab pass.

I fucking HATE the Giants more than any other professional sports team, but they played one helluva game. I'm a fan of seeing records set and its cool to have back-to-back Manning brothers as MVPs and Champs. Same goes for Strahan who was long overdue for a ring.

"The Play" was incredible, as we all saw. Certainly not the best play in Super Bowl history, but definitely a contender for one of the most spectacular catches ever made.

And that's where it ends for me..

Let's Go Birds!

Maybe Ben Roethlisberger and Matt Hasselbeck will go head-to-head in the Pro Bowl today and you'll have a chance to use your practice of "believing even if it defies logic" in believing that Ben will outperform Matt, eh? :P

:D

A bunch of superstars basically playing a "game" that barely qualifies as half-assed touch football...no thanks

a "game" for which the already-multi-millionaire winners take home $40,000

and the already-multi-millionaire losers take home a measley $20,000.

the money in pro sports these days is obscene.

I agree.

But I still watch.

And its just as obscene as a politician serving one two-year term and getting a 6-figure check every year for the rest of their life isn't it?

Yeah,.. I still watch too.

I didnt watch the Pro Bowl live cuz I was at work, but I watched most of it when

I got home. Fwiw,.. I think Matt Hasselbeck outperformed Ben R...berger. ^_^

Surprisingly enough,.. the usually lackluster end-of-the-season

money grab game got a pretty good tv audience this year.

Pro Bowl draws highest ratings since 2000

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- The NFL's Pro Bowl drew its best ratings in eight years.

Sunday's game on FOX earned a 6.3 rating and a 12 share. That's up 37 percent from

last year's 4.6. It's the highest Pro Bowl rating since the game attracted an 8.6 in 2000.

The rating is the percentage of homes with televisions watching a broadcast, and

the share is the percentage watching among those with the TV on at the time.

I watched the Pebble Beach Pro Am instead.

I remember when John Riggins went to the Pro Bowl when the Redskins won the Superbowl

and he was a no show 'cause he went camping in the hills of Hawaii. He's great.

Instead of a Pro Bowl, they should have a game between all the players who were cut earlier in the season who still want to prove themselves. This way, we get an all-out game - without risk to key team players. Kind of like what the XFL promised, but failed to deliver...
