Yukon Cornelius
I couldnt find a thread for this, I searched. So I was just wondering what everyone will do on New Years Eve. All over? I am staying home with the wife and having lobster tails. Maybe a steak too? Probably will drink a few Vodka and tonics. Two more days to talk about it. Anyway, happy early new year to all. And Ill toast to a Zepp reunion down the road. (still dreaming). Oh yeah, and a stanley cup in Buffalo!!

At least I wrote the "WHATS YOUR NEW YEARS RESOLUTION FOR 2009 THREAD! As for New Years Eve and New Years Day, I will be partying at a friends house. My friend is throwing a huge neighborhood New Years bash in the middle of the street. He's planning on having a huge bar built in his backyard so everyone can walk through the side of his house and into his backyard to get all of the booze that you want. It should be good. ROCK ON! I have got a horsey
I can't stand New Years Eve anymore, I try to avoid it You're always under pressure to have such a great night because it's New Years Eve, bah! I'd rather it be the one night of the year I stay home.

ebk
I'm a firm believer in staying home with the doors locked. While enjoying some lovely champagne, of course
Dzldoc
Are you near Bourbon Street? Near the action? I hear there are some casino's down there? My wife's boss is flying out Wed morning for New Orleans. Actually hitting Biloxie first I think. So what will you be drinking on the eve? Make mine Vodka. Hell no! I'm outside city limits. Haven't been to the Quarter in a while, probably since I went to see Eric Clapton at the HOB. Beer maybe a frozen daiquiri Yeah they have a few casinos and they have a casino boat about 7mi from my house. I don't gamble very much though! ZeppFanForever
Sounds like quite a party. Thanks for responding. I figured this was a littlel differant than the resolution thread. I think I did see that but it didnt come up when I did the search? If anyone wants they can just combine the two? I dont like starting new threads. Really. But I thought it was a pretty big subject and would create some interaction. Party on. But party safe all!!!! How's it going "Yukon Cornelius?" I promise that I will party safe. ROCK ON! Speaking of Biloxi, Mississippi, I will be there on Monday, 12 January 2009 to gamble at the Beau Rivage and Hard Rock Cafe Casino's. I'm also going to meet "beatbo" in Biloxi (His hometown) for the first time so it should be a treat. I hope that Dzldoc can make it, it would definitely be a blast. ROCK ON! Electrophile
I'm working. And then going home and doing nothing. I can't stand being around loud drunks, so I avoid days like New Years Eve and St. Patrick's Day like the plague.
~tangerine~
Hey ZeppFanForever, that party sounds awesome! What a cool neighbor you have! Well the days of "partying" are pretty tame now with a toddler. I may have dinner out with my parents and cousin, then i will be hanging out with my brother-in-law and maybe my sister, if she can get off of work. We have the three kids to watch so won't be getting drunk, but i'd like have a couple beers at least. Sounds boring, i know

I'd rather it be the one night of the year I stay home. Yeah I agree with the pressure thing. When I was younger I used to base the upcoming year on how my NYE went. If I had a good night, then the year would be good. I really put the pressure on myself!
The Rover
New Year's Eve . . . ? ? ? I've already decided what to do, and who to eat..... I just haven't decided on what to drink.... Maybe some Spicy Egg Nog !
Bong-Man
I've been to hall parties, house parties, ski parties, concerts, vacations,......now I just relax. Although a lobster does sound pretty good. Nothing like boiling a live crustacean to ring in the New Year. If you get 'em live, don't forget to let them crawl around the living room floor for awhile. Watching the cat's back shoot up is worth a couple beers alone.

It doesn't sound boring to me. My 22 year old daughter is supposed to be coming up to visit me later today from California. Babs
I just got two Lobster Tails frozen, a couple of large King Crab Legs frozen and have my Vodka. Cheers to all. I agree the whole thing doesnt really mean that much. At least not like 2000. Just another reason to drink and eat I guess. Throw in a couple of cans of smoked oysters and you're golden. spats
I have a couple parties to go to. Hopefully i will have a good time. It would drive me nuts if i stayed home on New Years. I would wonder what i was missing out on.
