What makes me happy right now is that I work in a nursery home for the elderly(voluntarily) on the demented section and everybody is very pleased with me and I play music to the whole nursery home in the garden and I also jam with great local musicians(I sing mostly) and socialise a lot with them and getting more confident. I'm also happy to be very healthy, I'm japing about myself and Led Zeppelin less and less ;) and taking normal conversations and socialising and accepting I'm on the mild side of schizophrenia spectrum (and perhaps some autism, it overlaps a lot anyway) and taking a few little pills, small dosages.  :)  My album might get on the radio a bit, don't know. I'm moderately raised, never cared to be a star.

There I was, leafing through an old movie magazine from 1971, chuckling at stories about Barbra Streisand, Chad Everett, Dean Martin, Jackie, etc., and when I had finished and turned the last page, there it was on the back cover….Cybill Shepherd's Kotex ad! Obviously done before the release of "The Last Picture Show" made her famous. What a looker she was.

Needed some blank DVDs so went to Argos it's one of those places where you look up your item on a touch screen. Found what I wanted, 25 disc spindle screen states item in stock, so made payment and went to collection point. After a bit of a wait  shop assistant turns up with a 50 disc spindle, the 25 disc was actually out of stock so I got the 50 discs at no extra cost, Put a smile on my face.

Watching Get Back (The Beatles documentary) on Disney+. I hope this finally dispels the myth that Yoko Ono was the reason they broke up. They were hanging on by a thread at this point. They were going to implode whether she was in the picture or she wasn't. I think she became a convenient scapegoat for the fans to target their ire towards, but they were four men heading in four different directions. The Beatles had nothing left to do, nothing left to accomplish.

I was floored by how much of what they worked on over that 2-week span ended up on five different albums; Abbey Road, Let It Be, Ram, All Things Must Pass, and Imagine. Talent like that doesn't come around all the time.

A lot has made me happy recently. Had a wonderful birthday on Thanksgiving day and holiday weekend in general. My gf and I went to a BnB on the coast, saw some deer right outside our window and also when we went for a walk just 20 feet away from us. We ate some amazing food, and the weather was perfect (70 degrees on the coast in late November, the one nice thing about global warming). Came back home Saturday and got to watch my Dolphins win their fourth straight game the next day.

As mentioned above by Electrophile, the Get Back documentary absolutely feels like a gift - been watching that in the evenings this week. I'm really, really glad that was made. Dude has made something substantial and incredibly fascinating that will make people happy for decades to come.

This will sound corny but fuck it ... I'm glad to be listening to Led Zep again. I was seriously burnt out on them for years and years. I just started listening again in 2021, discovered many shows that are killer ... it's like reuniting with an old best friend. I'm listening to the band every day now, and I have for the past few months. I'm enjoying this while it lasts.

Really :D

Yeah, planted my herbs and spices, and some are going GANGBUSTERS. Got mad angry red chilli's already! 3 weeks of solid humidity and hard rain seems to green up everything. Even the fern tree and our other native didn't shed completely and is starting to green again (usually turn to just sticks in the summer).

I used to have this issue of Rolling Stone in my collection, but somewhere along the way during two moves, it got lost. For years, I've been looking for it in various boxes, never having any luck. Finally, I broke down and decided to buy another copy. It came in the mail today, and I've been enjoying re-reading it. I've made a point not to lose this one!

When I was a little boy, I loved drawing and loved comics. 7-11 was a magical place for me, in that not only did it have candy, sodas, slurpees, etc .. it had comic books. And every week there were new ones! I remember the first time I ever took close notice of the artwork in a comic book - it was getting New Teen Titans #1 from the 7-11 in October 1980. I was 9 years old.

I immediately started trying to mimic his drawing style and picked up every title I saw that he worked on. Back then, it was NTT and Justice League which were also my 2 favorite comics.

I bring all this up because I read today that George has inoperable cancer and has elected to forgo chemotherapy. He wants to focus on being with family with a clear head. He's been given 6-12 months to live. He's 67. Fuck you, cancer.

This guy made a lot of people (kids and adults alike) really happy over the years. My thoughts go out to him and his family.
