Mattmc1973
seeing Matthew Sweet at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit was awesome (same place immortalized in Eminem's movie "8 Mile") seeing David Gilmour at Royal Festival Hall in London in 2002, and at Massey Hall in Toronto in 2006 Motley Crue put on a hell of a show, I saw them here at DTE Amphitheater a couple of years back and Pink Floyd in 1994 at the Pontiac Silverdome

Northern Monkey
Neil Young in 1989. Nothing I've seen comes close to that one. I can well believe that. Saw loads of the classic 70's bands back in the day, LZ, AC/DC with Bon, THin Lizzy, Genesis, Queen, Yes, Rush on Hemispheres tour etc. The ones that stick in my mind are the ones that I went to not expecting much. Stranglers on the Aural Sculpture tour, Hugh and JJ were just a brooding presence stalking a white stage dressed in black...and boy could those guys play. Sonic Youth at Kentish Town Forum, Washing Machine, it just blew me away and about a 20 minute version of the diamond sea. Joy Division in some grotty northern club 79/80 ish.......Holy shit U2 last night of the Joshua Tree tour...wasnt expecting much.....I was right
redeyedrichard
Porcupine Tree back in December was fantastic. They had a projector screen with these amazing videos being projected. The music was so well timed that it went perfectly with the videos. The lights for that show were second to none as well.
JethroTull
I can't say they were the best, but there are a few shows I would love to be able to revisit (or at least get some high quality video). Not listed in order, they are...... 1. John Lennon with his then back-up band Elephants Memory, Yoko, Stevie Wonder, Sha Na Na with Geraldo Rivera as the MC. The One-To-One Benefit concert and John's last full public performance at Madison Square Garden in August 1972. This is probably on DVD. 2. Any of the five Tull shows I attended in 1972, 1973 or 1975. 3. Zeppelin at Madison Square Garden on July 27, 1973. 4. Dictators at CBGB's, September 1976. Acutally any of the 10 or so Dictator shows I saw in the 70's. 5. George Harrison at Madison Square Garden on December, 1974. 6. And for good measure, either of the 1976 or 1978 Sprinsteen shows I attended. Well before he became an arena act.

Circus Earth
I saw Roger Waters last year at the Madison Square Garden. Amazing concert. He did Sheep from the Animals album for the first time since that album was released in the late 70's. After the concert I got to go backstage. Roger wasn't there but I got the chance to meet the rest of the band. It was a privilage to meet Snowy White. He was the second guitarist to back-up David Gilmour in the Pink Floyd days before Roger left the band.

Day Tripper
Hands down the best show I've ever been to was seeing The White Stripes at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville back in May. It was the first show on the Icky Thump tour, their first show in the States in a year and a half, and in a TINY venue. I managed to get right on the barrier in front of Jack, and the show was ridiculously intense. The energy between them and the audience was so high and it was really really great. It was so hot and I think I might've passed out if it had gone on much longer but I loved every minute of it.
