Last night on the evening news, they showed a guy in the audience at a McCain rally in Wisconsin. The guy was saying that he is "mad as hell" and he referred to Obama as a socialist. Later on ABC's Nightline news, they showed the same clip, only they had edited it, so it made it look like the guy was mad at McCain.

That's interesting. Do you have any ideas about why they might do that? Were they being biased or trying to infuence people? To what end?

Are you serious? You have no idea why ABC/Disney would not be biased agaist a Republican?

Liberal nutters is all they are.

Hold on! I am serious!! How would that possibly appear be biased against him? If I were to see that, and only that, not knowing anything else...I would assume it was a liberal heckler!

Why do you have a problem with the basic point that is being made?

"Returning to the theme that Obama is a mystical figure, Farrakhan said, he "is not the Messiah for sure, but anytime he gives you a sign of uniting races, ethnic groups, ideologies, religions and makes people feel a sense of oneness, that's not necessarily Satan's work, that is, I believe, the work of God."

Why are you opposed to that may I ask?

Just another black leader that BO is trying to "distance" himself from..

I wonder why?

He has already denounced their ways, who in their right mind would not want any large group to support your presidential candidacy.

And the Nation of Islam doesn't scare me.

I don't recall Barack Obama ever accepting the endorsement of Louis Farrakhan, and as Medhb rightly points out, who in the hell would want it anyway?

It's kind of sad to see the wind knocked out of our friends on the other side of the political fence. There's not a lot left to hang on to....grasping at this point.

My friends, my fellow prisoners......

Well I'm not sure if the Nightline clip that someone claims was edited to give a false reaction is what I'm thinking of. But yesterday at one rally there was Black McCain supporter who was angy about how things are going, and he was urging John McCain to be more aggressive in his attacks on Obama over Obama's nefarious associations. If this is the same man that ABC edited to appear mad at McCain; well, naturally the image of an angry Black man speaking to McCain would be a very strong image right now don't you think?

I don't know the facts here. But what I do know is that there is a lot of media bias going on. I mostly watch Fox News, and I will admit that they are spinning their coverage too.

You don't see the bias? Do you think Katie Couric and her 'quizzing questions' would have been done the same way with an Obama interview? If the mainstream media isn't being biased, where are the interviews where they ask Obama about Resko, Wright and Bill Ayeres? I can tell you that there are none of them on CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN or MSNBC. Only softball questions and fluff.

Not his endorsement per se but you remember that church Obama went to for 20 years?

The church, through its magazine, bestowed on Farrakhan its Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award -- named for its pastor -- saying Farrakhan "truly epitomized greatness."

But I guess that kind of "old news" is already irrelevant to the Obama worshippers..

Another "delicate situation" :D involving race and a prominent black leader indeed.. <_<

It is, I suppose, Old-news-ish to me, because it's the same thing over and over. Trying to tie Barack to as many people as they can who are known for something radical. And tying him to the same people over and over again. And then making sure they have a handful of people calling him B. Hussein Obama on the news.

It's obvious to most people who follow politics, that this is your typical smear tactic. You know like... Israeli's being judged for not converting? Speaking in Tounges? Hitler fulfilling God's plan? Refering to the Catholic church as "the Great Whore", protection from witches? We find these little quotes, and video of witch protection blessings(LOL) and connections to candidates and try to pin it on them. We're all human and we all have said stupid things, been affiliated with people who say stupid things, and we are all at some point misunderstood or taken out of context.

Both sides try to smear the other. It's interesting to watch this time around with race, sexism and old-agism??.. being issues. And as always, there are sheep on both sides.. sheep equaling uninformed voters. People who are voting and have never read anything about what either candidate is proposing to do. You know, like the ewe who said Obama was an Arab? Clearly a sheep.

Well, if McCain had any associations with people the likes of Ayers, Rezko, Wright, etc. you can bet your bottom dollar the dems would be calling him on it in a heartbeat. And he would probably have been forced out of the race a long time ago. But he doesn't so if he calls attention to his opponent's dubious associates then they counter by calling it a "smear" tactic while the media looks the other way instead of asking the hard questions. Just another way for the lib media and the BO worshippers to give a free pass to their new 'messiah'.

TO THE FIRST LEDZEP:

Dude, your candidate John McCain has stated (Oct. 9th) after being questioned by a McCain follower if Barack Obama was an Arab. McCain answered: "No ma'am. He is a decent family man and citizen."

Now, here is something to ponder: Maybe John McCain was brainwashed to become the Manchurian Candidate when he was held prisoner in Vietnam?? (nah, just joking!!).

Ayers he knew from working on a board to get more money/supplies to school children. Ayers has been a model citizen for 30 years (a respected educator), and Obama was 8 years old at the time of Ayers' last crime of radically protesting the Vietnam War.

Hardly "pals" as Sarah Palin put that lie out to the "liberal" media.

Rezko was involved in a real estate deal with Obama, who Obama should of examined who Rezko was and admitted his dealing with him was "boneheaded."

Maybe ask John McCain about his being a member of the (Charles) Keating 5 banking scandal which caused senior citizens to lose their life savings.

As for Rev. Wright, McCain himself has embarrassing associations with Pastors Hagee and Parsley. They are so bad that McCain has proclaimed that religious beliefs are to be off limits during the campaign.

The so-called Lib Media is more concerned right now about the faltering economy due to Republican de-regulation of mortgage lenders.

KNOW YOUR PARTY:

Since 1948, Democrats have created faster economic growth with less inequality between rich and poor, while Republicans are responsible for slower economic growth with more inequality.

Except for Jimmy Carter, Democrats decreased the percent of U.S. population living in poverty in the same period.

Even though Democrat Bill Clinton raised taxes, Clinton had the largest economic expansion in American history.

Republican Ronald Reagan was associated with the largest peacetime tax increase in American history at the time.

Billionaires such as John Sperling, George Soros, Warren Buffett, Herb and Marion Sandler, and Peter B. Lewis believe that the Democrats are better trusted to manage the American economy.

Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt had to bail out America from Republican Herbert Hoover and the Great Depression. Democrat Clinton had to clean-up the economic mess left by Republican Bush the First. And now, ONCE AGAIN, it looks like another Democrat is going to have to clean-up the economic shambles left by current Republican president George "Dubya" Bush.

BOTTOM LINE: The economy of the United States develops faster under Democratic Presidency than under Republican.

Yeah, all 6 billionaires right?

Come on, there's a reason most of the rich in this country vote Republican...that's a really misleading example

You think one single man is to blame for the Great Depression? You've got to be kidding me.

And FDR didn't "bail us out". Hitler did.

Know your history

BOTTOM LINE: The economy of the United States develops faster under Democratic Presidency than under Republican.

The economy would develop its fastest if it wasn't run by either the Republicans or the Democrats.

All that shit is true. If Clinton personally invented the internet. But he didn't and without that incredible internet, Clinton admin. would be a total failure on 9/12. and almost all economics professor would agree the fiscal policy started by pres. Ronald Regan, finally came and deliver.

I do like the carter bit, that's why its been 20 yrs of G.O.P. and 8 of Dem since Carter, a one term president. In fact since FDR, i would think there been more years of G.O.P. leadership, than Dem leadership, and i can tell you, American has grown tremendously.

and the six, are all fiscal conservatives, but extreme liberals on social issues. Soros makes Hermit look right wing.

Still, why would six billionaires care if anybody else make money.
