Favorite Song Off Each Zeppelin Album

Maybe this has been done before, but I am curious as to what is everybody's favorite songs off the studio albums and why. If you are having trobule picking just one, go ahead and put two if need be. I am trying to do just one. It's quite a challenge.

Here's how they line up for me:

Zeppelin I: "Communication Breakdown" - Just that opening guitar followed by the screaming by Plant. This song has long been one of my all-time favorites. Can't beat the guitar solo in the middle either.

Zeppelin II: "Heartbreaker" - Just a Rock and Roll classic. The guitar riff alone is genius. Add in a great middle section and top notch lyrics, you have a classic.

Zeppelin III: "Since I've Been Loving You" - The way Robert Plant sang this song is the reason it's my favorite off this album. Blues and musicianship personified.

Zeppelin IV: "When The Levee Breaks" - This was the toughest album to pick one from but then I remembered the drums that open this song and I decided this song was deserving. What a stroke of genius by Bonzo. Great melody, harmonica, and just a song you can cruise along and sing along to. Excellent song to end the album on too.

Houses of the Holy: "The Rain Song" - Quite possibly my favorite Zeppelin song ever. Everything about this song is perfect. The lyrics are perhaps the finest in the Zeppelin catalog. Every band member shines with their musical talents. Truly an amazing song from an amazing band. John Paul Jones holds this song together with some fine strokes of the keys.

Physical Graffiti: "Kashmir" - Perhaps my other favorite Zeppelin song ever. This was the song that got me hooked on Zeppelin and Rock and Roll. What a ride this song is. Nothing about it is flawed. This is the bar for which every single song ever made should be held to.

Presence: "Achilles Last Stand" - John Bonham, and Jimmy Page are the true kings on this song. It has to go down as one of the many Zeppelin epics. The mythology added in makes it that much more fun.

In Through The Out Door: "In The Evening" - Just a great Rock and Roll song. Excellent guitar work and a very melodic middle section.

Coda: "I Can't Quit You Baby" - I know it's not a studio song, and it was taken from a live performance, but I love this song so much and is always my go to song on the album, so I am putting it as my favorite. The band just hit on a cylinders on this one. Great addition to the album.

sorry it's very difficult, really a challenge, to choose only one song for each album, expecially for the fourth....when I'm not able to resist, I'll choose two....

I) DAZED AND CONFUSED/COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN

II) HEARTHBREAKER/RAMBLE ON

III) SINCE I'VE BEEN LOVING YOU/GALLOWS POLE

IV) ROCK AND ROLL/THE BATTLE OF EVERMORE

HOTH)THE RAIN SONG/NO QUARTER

PG) KASHMIR/IN MY TIME OF DYING

P)NOBODY'S FAULT BUT MINE

ITTOD) ALL MY LOVE

CODA) I CAN'T QUIT YOU BABY

why? I'm not able to explain the reason for each song I choose, there are particular emotions is not possible for me to express.....Dazed and Confused, I think it's the best example of LZ personal reworking of traditional blues, LZ "hard blues" like some musical critics say....Heartbreaker, for me it's the funniest, the most exciting rock song I ever heard....with Rock and Roll, since I've been starting to love LZ, about when I was 15 years old, I had a broken foot jumping rope and pretending to follow its frenetic rhythm:D ......and still now this song always gives me an enormous energy, better than ten coffees....and makes me full of joy...the Battle of Evermore gives me very special emotions....it takes me away from reality and brings me in a fantasy middle ages.... while Kashmir makes me travel with imagination through the Sahara, makes me imagine to meet a touareg prince and to lose my reason in the desert dunes...Nobody's fault but mine is a wonderful example of LZ alternating of fast and slow rhythm in the same song, but I like very very much also the slower version in NO QUARTER UNLEDDED....ok now I quit , because I'm afraid to be too long and boring......

Thank you...I know we are here to share our opinions and emotions about LZ, but I stopped my considerations in my previous post , based expecially on the impressions that these fantastic songs evoke in me.....because I'm a bit talkative, verbose, and too imaginative so if I don't stop myself I'm like a river that oveflows......and you know that "when the levee breaks...I'll have no place to stay" !!!!!!:D ...
