Virginia
Well, today was a pretty incredible day. I found out that I have been accepted into the B.Com (Honours) programme at the University of Auckland and quite frankly, I can't believe it!!! My major is going to be Economics. It's pretty much a dream come true! There is going to be a lot of hard work involved, but I love a challenge when I see it! I say "Bring It On"! Woo Hoo; congratulations!! Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
Congratulations to you Kiwi_Zep! My major was and undergrad degree is in Economics too! It's a fascinating subject and a great degree to have as far as career and grad school. Best of Luck to you! Thanks MSG! And you're absolutely right! Economics is indeed a fascinating subject and looks like we both have a very cool thing in common! I start on the 28th of February and I can't wait! This postgraduate programme is for a year and hopefully, if things work out, I'll be able to proceed to the M.Com degree, specialising in Economics too! Electrophile
The weather! It's supposed to be in the upper 50s here today, with a cloudless sunny sky. Can't ask for more than that!

It's nice here too. Sunny and a bit breezy; we have all the windows open right now (the cats are loving sitting in the open windows!) Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
The weather!! A cool, lovely breeze is blowing and the temperature has dropped like crazy! The weather in Auckland has gone from hot and humid to cool and pleasant! I do hope it stays that way! Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
Another thing which made me happy today, was suprisingly "The Grammy Awards". I never watch the awards show but when I scanned through the list of winners for this year, it turns out that a song which has made me laugh so hard and which has often put me into a good mood won "Best Urban / Alternative Performance". This is the song. Do check it out! I'm posting this especially for all the sad people out there who could use a laugh or two! Enjoy! P.S Not meant for folks under 18 years of age! ebk
So last weekend, I spent time with my sisters (real and "other") at the Amargosa Hotel and Opera House outside of Vegas. Today I found out that it was used in Robert's "Big Log" video. So I re-watched the video today and sure enough, there it is! Wish I'd realized that last week!! One of the shots was taken walking down this patio (without the furniture there...) It's a really interesting place...

Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
I just got home from my postgraduate orientation today. Had lots of fun and I was re-united with some of my old friends who decided to come back for postgraduate studies after completion of the Bachelor's degree!! I met some nice new folks too! Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
I also felt really really happy that I could contribute NZ $ 5 towards a fund raising effort in view of the Christchurch earthquake. At this stage, every contribution, no matter how big or small counts! I felt the need to do my bit!

Virginia
Just heard Doors and Judas Priest songs done on American Idol (and not too shabby, either!). Sadly, the Usher song was not good; nor were the 3 other lame song choices that sounded very karaoke (and which I've already forgotten). Patrycja
A certain team won a certain game (time of year for superstition so I'm not visiting a certain thread) A delicious Thai dish. Yoga - specifically, silencing that little voice that insisted on my putting it off.
Laura_Page
Tonight, I'm gonna "be" Jimmy Page. I made a fancy dress for carnival (I posted a photo in other topic few days ago, it's like "Rock and roll" in TSRTS), with his starry pants, his Les Paul, his bow, his symbol. I don't know why, but it makes me happy I'm not only dressed up, I think I take the attitude, the wizard's spirit. silvermedalist
Time Warner is testing my patience. I am fed up with their arrogance. I have Direct TV now. Have for some time. But for internet and phone I went with Time Warner. I monster company that needs more competition. My other local provider sucks. Rip off and you must sign on to a contract. I cant live with a net zero type service waiting five minutes for one page to load. Bastards. I guess I can see why people are buying good routers and stealing the service. Hey Silver....shouldn't this be in the un-happy thread? Don't hear any happiness in this rant. And I agree with you.
