I'm addressing CURRENT issues...and others want to bring up the past.... I've said how I feel this board is basically this same in the 5 years I've been here...all the various comings and goings....new people, old people...re-signed up people from 3 and 4 years ago etc. Then the ones who don't agree say ...this is a NEW board...OK then..if it is....lets let the past rest...and stick with the current happenings. So I see all these fights break out..and I believe in 3 threads I've tried to come in and say...how ridiculous it is to see all the fighting and to cool the jets...then I get lambasted for trying to ease in some peace..and told basically I have no ground to stand on because of past behavior from nearly 2 years ago ? I've made NO attacks whatsoever....did you even read my posts ? I haven't been spewing the vitrolic I've seen in those few threads I've posted in.....THAT, at least, is the difference. Obviously there is a difference. Those threads were pulled most likely on account of the content of the fights....not my observation of those therein....another difference. Lots of them about. 2. People who demand respect for the slightest thing without recognising it has to be earned not given as a right. Lots of those about too. 3. People seeking praise for doing very little and if they can't get it naturally they ask people to praise them to other people. I don't think that's wrong. It just seems to me that the newest incarnation of this board is filled with a lot of know-it-alls who think their opinions are the only ones and heaven help those who differ. I haven't personally defended them ON the board....but in general terms...I've pointed out the bias in the fights. New People who get pounced on...then come back and get nasty or match nastiness hurled their way....don't have a contingent to defend them....so the dawgs just chew them up... Well, it is helping if you give the extra bit of change along with the note or whatever, I have no problem with that.
