The first was a secret one while the second was known to everybody. but now we have only one name... Isn't your middle name your father's first name?? Like Раи́са Макси́мовна Горбачёва? The father So Tatyana, the daughter of Valery Bykovsky, would be Tatyana Valeryevna Bykovskaya Because His name Valery ends on a y sound, hers becomes evna, instead of ovna, and because his surname is -sky, she becomes skaya instead of -ova or -eva Except if it's a Ukranian surname like Chernenko or Titarenko, then there is no gender suffix Like Gorbachev's wife, she was Raisa Maksimovna Gorbacheva, but when she wasn't married she was Raisa Maksimovna Titarenko Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
