That's so great 'slave' and I hope you have an amazing time!!! ;)

What made me happy today was spending Thanksgiving with my family - we had such an amazing time (and I ate way too much but that's ok) :)

thanks darlin! great to hear from you, glad you are relaxing ......you know what they say about too much work now......

Only 3 to 4 minutes per pound and not greasy at all - all the juices are locked in. Take it out, let it rest on the cutting board for ten to fifteen minutes with a tea towel over it, take off the leg first, carve out one side of the breast and slice from the board. Serve and while your guests are starting to eat, carve off and slice the other side.

Just a side note: I also utilize my deep fryer for ducks - boiling them a bit to render fat, then cooking them in the fryer - slicing to use for a quick pan version of Duck Tikka Masala.

Served with a nice merlot.....thinking about this is making me happy today!

Thanks Ronniedawg ! I'm gonna give that a go next year. I'd try it for Xmas but we don't do the dinner at home.

I never heard of deep fried turkey.

How long does it take to cook?

Is it greasy?

We just picked up one of these today for $129.99 Gonna give it a try for Christmas.

Use it 4 times and it pays for itself. Peanut oil is expensive, messy and dangerous if you

don't know what you're doing. Hope it's as good.

Appropriately named "The Big Easy" :D
