Walter Becker, Frank Vincent, Harry Dean Stanton, Jake La Motta...I guess the Reaper went and got his shine box.

Great talents all and all will be sadly missed. R.I.P.

Damn straight - he fought the original "Sugar Ray" (Robinson) SIX times! Unfortunately for him, he (i.e., LaMotta) only won one...

Hugh Hefner is like the tailfin of pop culture. Very cool and edgy when first introduced but has long since become unfashionable.

Talk about the mother of all shitty Mondays. First the tragic shooting in LV by some crackpot, then the death of Tom Petty.

Looks like the grim reaper is working overtime this year.

What a shock. Just saw him last week at the Hollywood Bowl...the last show of the tour. He looked older but still lively and spry. Thanks for 40 years of music and concerts, Tom Petty. R.I.P.

RIP to all the victims killed in LA, and to Tom Petty, loved this guy since I was a teen.

And loved him as Lucky.

Wasn't expected this with Tom Petty!  I saw him once at MSG back in 2010 and put on a phenomenal show!  What a loss and a horrible Monday and just can't fathom the Las Vegas situation!  Just beyond belief!
