BUCK'EYE' DOC Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 If you click your cursor on the picture, you will see a larger image of the cover! I love that picture of Jimmy! Edited to say: Looks like Sam has taken care of it for us, so it is unnecessary to do my suggestion! Quote
Deborah J Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Book? I know, I saw new book, new music.... can't wait to see what's coming up soon from this musically brilliant man. Quote
bigstickbonzo Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 It would be amazing to see what he actually remembers and puts in words for a book. Quote

LarryD Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 It would be amazing to see what he actually remembers and puts in words for a book. Yes to that. Book? If it's true. Yes to that too! Quote
glicine Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 An autobiographical photo book, which will be quite expensive, that is. Quote
BonzoLikeDrumer Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 An autobiographical photo book, which will be quite expensive, that is. Oh well... Maybe I'll get it as a gift for Christmas Quote
kaiser Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 As far as this book it would be great if Page just does a running commentary on the pictures, what memories(if any with some of them ) would come to mind for him. I love Mojo's coverage on anything Zep related & Page seems to have as good a relationship with them as he does with Guitar World magazine. Both magazines are always respectful of him while still probing of a very private man. He actually opens up more with both magazines, which he never used to do in interviews. I am actually very excited by this. I hope it comes with a Page related CD of some sort. Mojo's Roots of Zep CD was great. I think that one had Santo & Johnny's version of "Summertime" which Page hand picked himself, & you can really hear the influence of that song on his own style. Great news all around. It looks like he's ready again Cheers to that! Quote
glicine Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Oh well... Maybe I'll get it as a gift for Christmas No hope for this christmas. Maybe next one. Quote
jabe Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 An autobiographical photo book, which will be quite expensive, that is. And what I would give for an autographed copy. Quote
Led Hed Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Finally, a Jimmy Page/Led Zeppelin book that I would actually read with confidence in its context. Thanks for the heads-up, Sam! Quote
glicine Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Who wants that book better starts to save now, I haven't seen a book from the Genesis Books under 285 Pounds. Quote
Patrycja Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Who wants that book better starts to save now, I haven't seen a book from the Genesis Books under 285 Pounds. It reminds me of The Folio Society editions - beautiful (ie/ The Silk Road is actually bound in silk) but you pay a pretty penny. It's going to be a collector's piece anyway, so still worth it, but yeah, better start saving now That's great news on the cover - Jimmy Page, the triple threat! Quote
Hotplant Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Ah...so I see it's photos. I'll pass. Especially if Ross has anything to do with it. Quote
ledrim Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I wonder if it will be the story of JP as told via pictures, or will it contain a decent amount JP's inner most thoughts and opinions. We don't need another "history" book. Quote
No1ZeppelinFan Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Anyone know when this issue is in the shops (UK)? Quote
aen27 Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Anyone know when this issue is in the shops (UK)? It's the February issue, so I'm sure it will be soon for you all. It won't come to the US probobly until the end of January. Quote
Stargroves Tangie Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Who wants that book better starts to save now, I haven't seen a book from the Genesis Books under 285 Pounds. Whoa! I think the only way some of us will be able to afford the book is if a bunch of us go in together & share it! Quote
glicine Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 JIMMY PAGE: In a world exclusive interview with the keeper of the Led Zeppelin flame, MOJO is given a first look at Jimmy Page’s mammoth pictorial autobiography. Cue a look back over a career that has spanned the last 45 years of rock history with unseen photos, in-depth discussion of his new movie, his new music and the truth behind those persistent Zeppelin rumours. PLUS! The Page record collection revealed! The sounds that rock his soul! source: mojo Mammoth...hmmm, along with R. Halfin's "super deluxe" definition, well I'd bet the book will be more expensive than my flight ticket to Beijing. Quote
kiss of fire Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Ross has the article posted in his 1/4/2010 diary entry. I ignore his wise ass cracks I think he does it to get a rise but the pics are nice for sure! http://www.rosshalfin.com/diary/january-2010/diary-january-2010.php Quote
