mrlowry Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 The true 50th anniversary has came and went, with nothing new of consequence being released. I think it's time to close this thread and open a 51st anniversary thread. Quote
nirvana Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 (edited) Let's face it - when a band as big and as monumental in it's historical perspective as LZ releases their own Vans shoes and Hot Wheels cars it makes everything we adored about them seem like a trivial soap opera comedy. Hot Wheels? Vans? Coffee mugs? Key chains? Condoms? This ain't the Led Zeppelin that I grew up so wide eyed with. This is a marketing sham of a band that lost control of their voice and vision in 1980. Edited February 7, 2020 by nirvana Quote

Take the Zeppelin Mothership cover for instance (which had the same look as those political posters from a few years back). Anyway, looking forward to the Led Zeppelin Sirius XM channel re-launching soon. Hope they play something rare / unheard / uncommon. R😎 Edited April 30, 2020 by reids Quote

76229 Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Today in the UK the Daily Star has a (front page!) story about how the Tower House is haunted by friendly ghosts. Close inspection reveals that this is a recycling of Scarlett Sabet saying she was "convinced the house is haunted" but the ghosts "are friendly". The (obviously furiously well researched) story also claims that there are no TVs in the Tower House and it has to be kept quite cold to avoid damaging the paintings on the ceiling. Quality journalism at its best I think you'll all agree. Quote
