These are the guys who I think of when it comes to the frontman of a great band. Whomever you choose please say why and if you pick Robert Plant( this being a Zeppelin forum), please mention another frontman that you think is the second greatest frontman of all time.

If I were to vote a second - I'd put Freddie Mercury up there right after RP.

Robert of course, if Freddie was on the list it would of been him 2nd , but from the list its Bon Scott for me, frontman, he was just such a great frontman, not a great vocalist but as the poll states frontman he was there for charisma...have to say Jagger is the most overrated of alltime.

Well of course robert has always been the best for me out of the list its probally Mick jagger second.

But i was sad to not see Freddie Mercury on the list his voice was like a weapon man, to good.

While not in the same league with Robert (or Mick, Freddie, etc.) as far as "great frontmen" goes, I always thought Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Geoff Tate of Queensryche had great voices.

but aren't all singers basically poets, who just express their poetry in a melodic voice?

I said Robert, then Jim Morrison. Roger Daltrey may have gotten my vote, but he wasn't in the second list.
