Reunion DVD

Recommended Posts

Well IMO it seems much more likely to me that as we are adjusting to "life without Zeppelin" that there will sooner rather than later be an official release of Led Zeppelin's reunion last year what do you think. For those who don't know there is no reunion :(:(:( .

That would be those up in the space station!

Oh and The Sun!

It's not the end of the world, get a grip.

Adjusting, what's to adjust to?

Yes a DVD would be appropriate just in time for Christmas.

I vote no for a Reunion DVD. Now, if they want to combine that footage with rehearsal, interviews, ongoing contentious relations, sure, sell that load of crap to line the pockets of Lead Zeppelin with nostalgia money

I would like to see it as well, but who knows. I hate to say we as fans deserve to have it on DVD, but considering it may be the last time they played together and the huge demand for tickets, releasing the show on DVD isn't a lot to ask IMHO. If not, I won't think less of the band and we all still have ways to see it.

Led Zeppelin ended 28 years ago. It's all nostalgia.

Consider:

We have ways to see it only because we're computer literate. There are many many zep fans that have never gone online. And many would refuse to buy a bootleg.(I've already got 3!). They will never get the chance unless it's officially released.

I now really hope they do it since it looks like RP is done touring for "at least two years".

I wonder about the profit from the dvd. would it go to ahmet fund or zep? there may be a timelimit on it going to the fund and then after a certain time it goes to zep? Anyone know?

my guess is that after rp's anouncement jp will be focusing on new material and a tour instead of the dvd. i highly doubt he'll allow it to be released unless it's been mastered by jp himself.

Either way - WE"RE READY!!!!

Anybody who wants to rail against Led Zeppelin as a force of capitalism is a fool. While there were people back in the day who made noises about socialism (John Lennon) Led Zeppelin did not. They have never pretended that they didn't want the money - they reveled in their excesses. They demanded 90% of the gate-takings at their shows, they sold merchandise and they made a lot of money.

Robert Plant sold his financial stake in Led Zeppelin years ago, anyway.

If you don't like the fact that Led Zeppelin produces and exploits their own products, then why are you here?

Yeah it would be an awesome DVD, you can tell the way it was filmed judging by the stuffwe have. It will be considered, if it was a bad show maybe we would not have wanted it, but well it was great! I think it should be warts and all no perfectionist jimmy either!

I know you feel that way Steve and yes, there is a lot of nostalgia considering all the music was written over 28 years ago but according to the band members themselves, Led Zeppelin was the band playing on December 10, 2007. I would love to have an official DVD release of the show.

We dont have to adjust to anything, They are jsut as much zeppelin as before the show so i mean we havent lost... we are just where we have started. And i mean they Gave al the bootleggers a chance to make some money. Id say proper release would do them well. I mean the whole thing was to thank Ahmet i dont think they wouldnt follow through a make a dvd.

How's it going "pinky?" I really do hope that the 02 Arena Reunion concert will be released on DVD someday but I have my doubts. In my opinion, as well as many others, Robert Plant is the only reason why ZEPPELIN will not tour in 2009. Not only that, Plant is also not in favor of releasing the 02 Arena concert on DVD. Why, because he is not happy with the band's performance that night. Plant does not feel that his voice was up to par considering that all of the songs were played in a lower chord to suit his vocal range. Is it also possible that Plant does not want ZEPPELIN to tour in 2009 because of America's failing economy? In my opinion, Plant is more worried that there will be no sell-out shows if the economy gets worse in the coming months. What do all of you think of that statement? ROCK ON!

All shows would have sold out. Very very quickly.

Oh, and like everybody else I'd definitely buy the DVD the moment it came out (the likelyhood of which has been discussed ad nauseum elsewhere).

Somebody gave me an audio boot last week (don't have any of the boot DVDs). The sound quality (and the "wet fish handclapping" near the recorder) were so disappointing in comparison with my recollection of 10/12/2008, I wish I hadn't heard it.

Even during the show I had determined to buy any (official) DVD released ASAP to get anything I'd missed.

I have it on good authority that Robert Plant has caused the recent gas shortage in the Southeast US, the one that hit Nashville particularly hard, and created lines and chaos at the gas pumps. He is also the cause of our drought and all my flowers drying out. We can't wait for him to go back to England.

:hysterical:
